Back Manager Sample Exercises

Massage & Acupressure

The user lies on the BackManager with the knees flexed and the feet placed flat on the floor.  Using you feet for propulsion, glide gently back and forth over the 'treatment' roller to obtain a relaxing, self directed massage. Using on of the larger rollers will passively mobilize the spine and safely stretch the deep back musculature.  The Spinetingler roller can be used for an invigorating acupressure massage.

Stretching & Spinal Mobilization

The BackManager can be used as an exercise platform using the interchangeable rollers to safely support the head, shoulders and pelvis during a series of progressive stretching and strengthening exercises.  The goal is to improve flexibility and increase range of motion.

Back Extensor Strengthening

Progressive Strengthening with the user prone and the pelvis supported by the large roll.

Core Strengthening & Stabilization Exercises

These exercises support the user in the correct biomechanical position with the rollers giving support throughout the range of movement.  Goal is to improve core strength, motor control and spinal stability.

Balance & Kinesthetic Awareness

Normal balance and Kinesthetic awareness are necessary to properly train the motor control system and activate the muscles that stabilize the spine.
