Suspended Floating Deck
Most premium treadmills today incorporate a low impact floating deck. Spirit's recent introduction follows our commitment to continued controlled low impact design. Not too soft - not out of control side to side unwanted motion.

Spirit's suspended floating deck is attached solid at each corner to avoid unwanted "spring board" effect.

Solid yet soft! Solid yet Flexible!
Twin, heavy high durometer, synthetic rubber dampeners absorb foot plant shock loads as the runner/walker "pounds" the belt/deck. The deck is allowed to flex and absorb high impact loads that transfer to the large oversize dampeners mounted to the all steel highly responsive frame.
