Suspended Floating Deck
Most premium treadmills today incorporate a low impact floating deck. Spirit's recent introduction follows our commitment to continued controlled low impact design. Not too soft - not out of control side to side unwanted motion.

Spirit's suspended floating deck is attached solid at each corner to avoid unwanted "spring board" effect.

Solid yet soft! Solid yet Flexible!
Twin, heavy high durometer, synthetic rubber dampeners absorb foot plant shock loads as the runner/walker "pounds" the belt/deck. The deck is allowed to flex and absorb high impact loads that transfer to the large oversize dampeners mounted to the all steel highly responsive frame.

A high resolution 7 x 40 dot matrix screen is the center of this premium console. Work/program profiles, heart rate control (optional) and 1/4 mile track are all illustrated on this industry large feature display. SPIRIT's most advanced display is a 20 segment design with 5 effort levels of the 4 preset/4 custom programs. The serious user will appreciate the ability to blank out the display during a workout--A SPIRIT exclusive. The 480 includes enhanced diagnostics which are part of the feature console. These diagnostics include wall voltage measurements, load conditions, lower electronics temperature, motor performance and many other tools. It is the industry's first micro-processor driven lower electronics package. The 475 and 480 share the same upper display. Both electronics are designed for residential use, with the 480 being heavy-duty commercial quality. A similar computer is also available on SPIRIT's 277.
